The objective is to deepen the use of open-source software in natural and life sciences research, develop advanced skills in data management and analysis, design open science projects applied to biology and ecology, and gain proficiency in open and collaborative scientific tools.

This subject aims to:

- Initiate students to bioinformatics issues related to the emergence of new biotechnologies.

- Provide students with the knowledge and means to use existing web-based software that already allows powerful processing of biological data generated by new biotechnologies (databases, sequence processing software, statistical software).
